Hey guys,

I'm considering running a Pathfinder AP but our game system of choice is D&D 5e. What is the best way to get an AP into FG for 5e?

Options I can imagine:

Buy Pathfinder PDF and copy/paste into FG manually
Buy Pathfinder AP in FG and then somehow convert to 5e (how?)
Some other way I've not considered?

Is there a recommended way to do this?

Thanks!
Blakey

If the AP is already converted to FG then go with option #2.

Thanks. That thread you linked is handy. Coincidentally I'm considering running Rise of the Runelords, same AP as that thread. I just checked the FG store and it's $60 for the FG conversion though. Considering I've already bought the adventure I'm not sure I can afford that.

The maps are all available online in one form or another. I have a PDF copy of the module too from which I guess I can copy/paste descriptions and boxed text. So the only thing I'd need to do by hand is set up encounters - which I would need to do with the FG module anyway, by the looks of things.

I suppose I'd also gain the fact that the adventure would be utterly built into FG, meaning only one place to go during a game session to look stuff up but I'm not sure I want to pay $60 for that benefit! :)

If I went and upgraded to Unity (I'm running Classic now) I think there are LoS downloads available for the official product so I guess I'd get that too but I think Unity is a little too rough around the edge for my group still...

Hmmmm.

Sync your Paizo PDF purchase with FG here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/syncPaizoAccount.xcp

You'll get the cost of the PDF subtracted from your FG purchases (only Paizo do this). So, you'll get the FG conversion for less than $20. Information in the first paragraph of the product description in the store: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/product.php?id=PZOSMWPZO1002FG

Don't underestimate the time saving aspect of having all of the maps and images, story entries, etc. already in FG - that will save you many hours prep work over the length of the AP. To be honest, I would say that $60 would still be worth it for the amount of time you'd save, but with the Paizo PDF synch price reduction, it's pretty much a no brainer, IMO.
