hello!
As the title says, I created a map using various image tools and would like to save it back to the assets so I can use it in multiple campaigns. Is this something that is possible? I didn't see any option to do that.
thanks!

No, that is not something that is supported.

You can't directly save it to assets. But, if you export the map to a FG module, then your map can be accessed through the module (load the module through the library). Not quite the same as the assets, but does allow you to access FGU maps in other campaigns...
Some examples of community produced Unity maps shared as FG modules here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?61251-FGU-Image-and-Map-Module-Exchange

Saving it as a mod will work for what I need to do! Thanks Trenloe

Hi all. Has this capability changed for Unity (saving an created image to assets)? I just bought some Map Tiles (for example the great BSG Village Map Tiles) and those images with LOS are loaded into Assets. I was creating some buildings from scratch in a special campaign just for structure building. I wanted to add the buildings I created along with LOS to Assets just like the new packs I purchased. I exported them to a mod file but couldn't get them into Assets so I can paste the buildings onto my town map in the regular campaign. The mod just creates a stand alone image that I can't join with other images onto a common map. Is this still not possible?
Thanks

Any module you export that has images in it will appear in Assets. Just search for the name of the module in assets > Images.

I want the FGU image I have constructed from scratch in FGU to be a tile in Assets with LOS. When I export, the mod only shows the final product in Images. It does not show the product as a tile in Assets. There is an Assets Image folder with the name of the module but it only has a few random decorations I used to create the final FGU image.

Ah. No. Images created in FGU aren't really images but an xml file which points to the assets used and their position in the image. I was talking about images that have been imported into FGU from elsewhere and then exported as a module.

Ok thanks - I suppose that must be what the creators are doing then too...creating an image file once they have all the artwork added and then adding LOS to that file. After all I don't see layers in their work when I add them so I suppose that should have been obvious.
