Has it worked before? What o/s? Does the system error log say anything useful? Does a reinstall solve? FG log files say anything?

I've run it for over 7 hours in the past. Win 10, tried a reinstall followed by a reboot. For some reason there's no Player.log

Did you already try uninstalling and reinstalling to reset all the program files?

I did, yeah. I'm so confused. Maybe if I uninstall AND delete the local folder... ...nope, still same problem.

I did find this line in debug.txt: [0917/084423.119:ERROR:settings.cc(326)] Settings version is not 1

Some things to try:
* How did you uninstall? (Windows or Steam) If you did Steam, can you please try Windows?
* Can you try running directly from Windows, instead of through Steam?
* Can you try installing from our web site download?

I've had the same error recently after a couple years of no problems. I've tried to uninstall on windows cause I don't play through Steam and the uninstall just stalls out. Tried to download through Steam and I get the same error code when I try to start the program.

Any assistance would be welcomed!

The steps mentioned by Moon Wizard didn't recommend using Steam.

Did you try the final step mentioned - reinstalling from the FG web site download? https://www.fantasygrounds.com/home/FantasyGroundsUnity.php

Also, please make a new thread for any issues newer than a couple months; otherwise, you are attaching to a thread that may have nothing to do with your situation.

Additionally, please include any information on your situation (OS, Steam vs. web install, etc.)

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, didn't pay attention to the time stamps. Turns out I had to delete the corrupt files/folders in my computer's directory and after that the re installation of FGU is now workinging without the error code popping up.
