View Full Version : Can't Assign Token

I'm having a related but (I think) different issue. I set a custom portrait on the character sheet but it did not create a token from it. I can't find any way to change the token directly.

If I go under assets, nothing is listed even though I can click on folder (under either portrait or token) and see image files.

How can I set a custom token? Is it something the GM has to do instead?

MOD: Unless an issue is exactly the same, we prefer folks start new threads. It prevents topic drift and makes it easier for folks to find solution in the future.

Have you tried double clicking on the token space in the character sheet?

In 5E, the portrait is in the left corner of the sheet and the token is on the right. You should be able to drag an image to either or double click on them and have FG open the correct window. From that window, if there are no assets, you can grab one off your own computer by using the "Folder" button. Just open the folder and copy an image into that location.

Double-clicking the portrait opens up portraits to choose. However, double-clicking the token centers the map on the token (or reopens the map and centers it). If I open assets, it lists nothing for portraits or tokens (but they are visible if I click on folder).

So yea, that's the correct behavior for double clicking the token (opening the map).

GM tokens don't show up for players, but not sure why the portrait didn't make a token. Maybe try dragging the portrait to the token? Hopefully someone else will chime in.
