This may be a dumb question...

But I have been unable to find a way to do this...

If I have created a custom map with drop pins, NPC's encounters and story in one campaign, is there a simple way to add that into a different campaign that already exists?

You can export the image from that campaign as a module that you load in the other campaign. It becomes a static data module at that point.

We usually recommend that you use a separate module creation campaign when creating modules that you will share among campaigns; especially if you plan to later update any exported material.

I would duplicate (in the operating system) your campaign where the stuff is. Call if 'development x'. Then go into that campaign, clean out everything that is not your duplicate content. Then export it to a module. In the original "play" campaign delete the stuff that is now in your development campaign and module. Open the module in both campaigns.

When you need to update, go to your development campaign and re-export.
