Just recently my PC tokens have not been reveling the rooms after a door is opened. Has any one else been having this problem. It has only just started in the last couple of days. and some few doors still work.

You might also want to post a screenshot of what the door and wall look like in unlocked/edit view.

Is this an official map/example that you can point out or share with us?

Thanks,

So door design seamed to work before the last big update. I now know I just had a bad design. here was what I was doing.

Attachment here 0.png is the door without any LOS on it. With how the door is drawn I wanted to block view from the threshold on each side of the 10' area while the door is open in the middle of the 10' area.

My first design was attachment 1.png. Here I moved the walls out and had a door in between, but the PC's tokens didn't move threw this very well if they where snapped to grid and in center of a 5' square.

Attachment 2.png is what started this thread. Here I used terrain along with a door to block the LOS of the threshold but this allowed the PC's tokens to move threw either 5' square easily. This seamed to work before but I didn't get a good chance to test it out a lot. Some of this on that map do still work while others do not. When I open the door it doesn't open the line of sight and some times the PC's tokens cant move threw either.

Attachment 3.png is what brought me to believe that 2.png was a bad design. This design seams to work the way I want.

Sorry if I posted in the wrong thread area, I was originally thought that this might be an effect from the last update because it seamed to work before the update.

Ok I have done more tests and here is what I did.

I opened two FGU. one as a DM and joined that one with the second FGU to show a players view.

the next two attachments are a view with a door closed. There are no terrain LOS like in the above thread. just the the door LOS.

These next two attachments is a view after the door is open.

39943

The last attachment is one showing the LOS that I used.

I am still having a problem with the doors reviling the LOS to a player. I thought it was because of using the terrain inside the door like above tread but its not.

You sure you are opening the door? Not just locking and unlocking it?

There have been some reports of simply turning the LoS off and then on again has fixed occasions where the it's been misbehaving - might be worth a try if you haven't already done so?

I am not able to reproduce based on your examples. Can you zip up a copy of the campaign and attach?

Yes it works after toggling the line of sight of and on sometimes for some doors. I also make every door its own layer so I can just take it out by deselecting the wall button for that door.

Can you upload the zip to a site like DropBox or Google Drive and provide the link? Make sure to set the security so that anyone with link can download.

If you want the link to be shared privately, please send to [email protected]

I got your email with the link to Dropbox. I had not had any time early this week to send my campaign. Thank you but I think the new update fixed the problem. I'm also changing my door design to use illusionary wall LOS instead of terrain LOS for my doors. The last two big updates have been amazing. Thank you guys for all the hard work.

There is a separate door LoS by the way :) (though you seemed to use it, so, I am unsure what you mean; illusionary walls cannot be opened :) )

And also don't block movement.
