I'm wondering if I have managed to pooch the installation of FGII. I'm running XP and I'm not able to find the examples folder when I do the unpack. I've checked in Documents and Settings and I'm just not seeing it. A) Whats the username it creates it under? Windows or an Application name?
B) Do I need to go to all my old campaigns and migrate them back to the base d20 ruleset. I can see them in the list, but they crash when I try to load any of them.
Any help is appreciated.

Ok further digging has help find an answer for A. My application data folder under my Widows XP user was a hidden folder. I went to the control panel and opened up all hidden folders and now I can see the examples folder.
I'm still trying to figure out what the best way is to bring in some of my old campaigns etc.

If the old campaigns are compatible to the default d20 ruleset in FG1 you can just copy them over into FG2. Most data will transfer but make sure you keep copies of the FG1 campaigns. If the ruleset is not compatible with the default d20 in FG1 - I would suggest you make it compatible first then transfer it to FG2. You then will be able to use FG2 while you rebuild your ruleset. I have to say I would wait for the releases to slow down before I began work on a custom ruleset.
