Hello folks, I've uploaded a few more preview images of the tokens I plan to package into my first token set. Here are some previews!

Sweeet...but, where's the office workers standard issued coffee cup?
:)

Love the strong hero, but I'm not crazy about the red t-shirt.

The spy isn't bad, but I hope you'll do a traditional ninja dressed in black and wielding a katana.

The office worker's shirt is a little oversaturated IMO. He should come with a water-cooler token. :)

Yes I am not overly happy with the lighting, I am still tweeking things as I go. Mainly playing with the lights as a lot of the 3D renders come up quite dark and I have to increse the exposure to bring out the color - especially with dark cloth or leather fabric. But I also recently switched to a new monitor as my old one has faded badly and its color was off, but the temp monitor is small (only 15 inch), I so need to get a new high-definition screen to replace my old one.

You should tone down the saturation on the blood, too.

I would like to keep the blood at the current color it is so that its easy to quickly see that a token represents a wounded character.

And here is another token group... The Office Executive:

He reminds me of an old boss of mine.. and for some reason the wounded graphics make me happy.. <.<... >.>...

I tend to agree that the blood color should be toned down a bit... but I can also understand wanting to make it more visible that it's a wounded graphic.

A nice quick fix with most rendering programs is to make the material self-illuminating to a small degree. That way you can use darker colors and still make them turn up.

Tailz, these are nice tokens. Are all these tokens going to be in the same set?
Heruca, I actually like that the Strong Hero token is wearing a shirt that doesn't show the blood. You can almost hear the "Just a flesh wound" quote coming.

That would be the Tough Hero - everything that doesn't instantly kill a Tough is "just a flesh wound" :P ;)

My plan at this point in time is that the Starter package should contain at least a dozen characters (maybe more), with each character having a number of tokens of the character in different poses. The main poses I plan to get every character in are: Running, Standing, Melee (no weapons), Sitting, Kneeling or Crouching, Wounded. I'll do others to add variety to each one, but in general I have a group of set poses I apply to each character - then I make a token of the character in that pose.

So assumeing there are at least 12 characters in each pack, with each character having at least a minimum of 7 pose tokens, a starter pack will have a minimum of 87 tokens.

Right at this moment I think the Modern starter pack has 9 (should be 10 after today). You can check how to pack is going as when I finish a characters tokens I add a preview image of the tokens to my Gallery on my web site.

I'll then do future addon sets that focus on a spacific theme, eg: Soldiers, Villians, Monsters, Animals, Vehicles, etc.

I plan to make a starter pack for each of the following: Modern, Future, Fantasy (eg: D&D), World War II.

And here is a little parody of a well know adventurer from the Modern age, its Mr Jones:

Typical ... Mr Jones seems to have lost his shirt.

Tailz, when you produce your token sets will you include the front facing image in the set? The image would be useful for creating a character sheet illustration or portrait image. Then your character portrait could match the token being used.

I had not thought of that, I didn't plan to make images for use as Portraits as even I just chop up any old picture for a face I like for my characters.

I second that suggestion. Including the front-view PNG of the charater in each token set would be very useful. Besides, you've already taken the trouble to render them, so why not include them in the package?

Hhhmmmm...... I had not really thought about it like that. I supose I could make some portraits.

Oh and here is the Female Hero #2:

Nope, I was thinking the full body shot that you have in the preview image. Keep it as a PNG with transparency so we can place it on whatever background makes sense for our games. And if we want to crop it down like you did, or shrink it in size, we can always do that ourselves.

Any idea when all your previewed tokens will be available?

Oohhh ok, I'll see what I can do. Might also just make some simple "ready made" portraits for each character as a helpful thing. But I didn't think they would be important as I thought people would grab portrait images from where ever...

I've been a little busy of late and I have laged behind on making tokens. I had hoped to have the Modern set finished by now. I'd like to get at least two of my Gallery pages full before I release the set, so that will be 24 characters, with a number of different pose tokens each.

I've been very busy of late, but I am taking a break from work for a week in a few days and plan to get my tail onto some projects then. Will have to wait and see.
