Action to expend spell slot

Hi all,

I have a question regarding automating spell slot usage when players cast spells.
Quite often players cast spells and forget to tick appropriate spell slot (as used up).
Is it possible to create an action to do that? Than this action can be added to the spell and player can click it to expend the spell slot after rolling all dice?

If not is there any way to expend spell slot automatically or using any other means except manually ticking?

No, the ticking off of the spell slot is a manual operation. FG can't know what level of spell slot is being used since the player can use higher level slots that the spell level.

Is it however possible to create an action line "expend level 1 slot" or something like this?
If not, would it be possible to achieve this using an extension (i have programming background)?
