... I can't tell from the published documentation: does it support the Ultramax variant rules, or just the vanilla "5e philosophy" stuff?

It currently loads in FGC but not in FGU as it errors and fails to load. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

There is more information in the 5E forums.
