Since 2020 I have been running Savage One-Shots, the setting varies as do players (apart from the core few :D )

I stream these on twitch and YouTube.

Given the success of my Savage Wednesday thread (which has now died since I had to go back to work...) I decided that it was well worth having a thread to announce the games, even if you can not attend them, you can always watch the streams or use the pre-gens that are created for these games.

Saturday 24th February 2pm UTC - Savage Worlds One-shot - Cocaine Owlbear

You're a woodland creature who has recently gained sentience when you ingested magical cocaine from the satchel of an unlucky traveller in your forest.


With your newfound intelligence, you plunder the belongings of the courier you killed. You find that he or she had a complicated heist plan written on parchment and hidden in their satchel bag. But it's not just any heist. It is a complicated heist that involves stealing more of the enchanted cocaine that has granted you sentience and made you really jittery. Can you take a chance that when the cocaine wears off you'll revert to being a mere woodland animal?


No. No, you cannot.


You have to get more of that enchanted cocaine! Luckily, you have this written plan from the deceased courier that requires discipline and exact execution. Unfortunately, you're a goddamned coked-out enchanted woodland creature prone to rage.

Characters are randomly created as part of the scenario turn up and see what woodland creature you get to be...

I am a regular player in these. Depending on your time zone, I am in USA Eastern, so it is 9 am to me, 2 PM to the GM and the players in England, 3 PM to some on the continent. Doswelk is one of the best possible people to learn Savage Worlds from and as for holding your hand? Why not, it will be a change from the cat herding he is usually dealing with.

Different weeks we play different Savage World settings, he uses pre-gens so no need to worry about creating characters in each setting. It is a great group of people to play with. This coming week will be Dark Times in Saxfordshire, something Doswelk created himself. It is almost the Twenty-Niners birthday again. :) Most of the regulars tend to play the same pre-gen, but there are a lot still available for this setting.

For this one-shot will journey to 13th Century England, to a land of superstition and fear of dark magic, where the church which should be stalwart defender against the supernatural forces of evil is more interested in its own power and acquisition of land and wealth. The people are oppressed by the cruel rule of the Normans.


In the Borough of Nottingham a group of outlaws oppose the local Norman lords and the corrupt church, they struggle against the forces of darkness and although hunted can always flee back to the Darkwood as the locals have come to call it; Sherwood Forest.

The right to make toast has been revoked. Bakers' lives are being ruined. The Wizards of the Toast and their evil, corporate overlord, Hasbrodeus, have reneged on a decades-old promise to not revoke the very license that made toast so fantastic. Wrongly believing the success of toast is theirs alone, WotT aim to force the draconian requirements of their new license on bakers the world over using tricky legal documentation and bread-based golems. The ability to produce water will be very useful in helping make bread soggy in this adventure.

You're a woodland creature who has recently gained sentience when you ingested magical cocaine from the satchel of an unlucky traveller in your forest.


With your newfound intelligence, you plunder the belongings of the courier you killed. You find that he or she had a complicated heist plan written on parchment and hidden in their satchel bag. But it's not just any heist. It is a complicated heist that involves stealing more of the enchanted cocaine that has granted you sentience and made you really jittery. Can you take a chance that when the cocaine wears off you'll revert to being a mere woodland animal?


No. No, you cannot.


You have to get more of that enchanted cocaine! Luckily, you have this written plan from the deceased courier that requires discipline and exact execution. Unfortunately, you're a goddamned coked-out enchanted woodland creature prone to rage.
