Shortcuts in description text boxes cannot be deleted if on first line.

After dragging a shortcut into the textbox (Eg to an image file), the link icon cannot be removed by deleting. It can be highlighted over and then deleted, but only if it is not on the first text line.

Additionally, hitting return after the shortcut creates an empty circle icon beneath the shortcut on the next line.

thats always been the case. just use CTRL-1 to turn it into plain text. The empty circle represents an empty shortcut link. it gets filled in when you drop a link onto it.
