I just got the email from Steam that FGU is available. However, what does the $39.99 purchase price provide? Should we buy that if we already have a FGC ultimate license or is there something separate?

FGU is separate program. You purchase new version of the software.

When you have FGC ultimate, then there should be an upgrade path to FGU ultimate with some discount :) But when you do not see that yet, then maybe wait a bit, that steam release seems to be fresh, so, maybe it is still "loading" :D There was no official announcement of SmiteWorks yet, so, I'd wait for that at least :)

While the initial page has moved to Early Release, we're still working with Steam to work out a few last minute kinks. We'll post in the City Hall forum when it's ready; and I'll ask Doug to create a FAQ to go with it.

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but weren't Steam purchasers also supposed to get a %10 early purchase discount, on top of the Unity upgrade discount?

I can see Fantasy Grounds Unity Ultimate is now available on Steam, in fact you can currently purchase a bundle which includes Fantasy Grounds Classic Standard & Ultimate and Unity Standard & Ultimate as a bundle for £140.84(GBP) a 40% discount on all 4 products.

I don't think all the issues with the roll out have been worked out yet. The pinned post linked earlier by Doug has not been updated to say so. Until then I would assume they are still working out issues.

Our intent was to carry the 10% off during Early Access, but Steam doesn't have a way to grant a sale price for a period of time longer than 1 week. We will probably look to phase out our store's 10% discount soon to bring these into parity.

No need for apologies. They are approved for content and are just awaiting approval of the price on Steam (by Valve) before they can be released. I would expect them to be available in the afternoon on Tuesday.
