Investigator Class - Stratagem Automation

Anyone find a good way to automate the Stratagem action?

I was thinking of just creating a 2nd Attack option with my PC's weapon that uses Init bonus instead of Dex, as I couldn't find a good way to hold d20 roll with no bonus and have it carry over to a different attack.

That's how I've done it. In play, what I do is I have the PC drop the attack roll on the monster when they use Devise a Stratagem, and then they can just drop damage if they decide to "confirm" the attack.

You want a second weapon entry anyway so you can add the precision damage, really.
