FG License: FGU Ultimate
Game System: Pathfinder 2nd

Time Zone: CST
Day of week and time: Pretty much anytime, however i sometimes have my daughters on the weekends (Friday to Monday, every second or so weekend), so mid week is the most solid time. Time of day doesn't matter much, as i don't work.
Planned Duration & Frequency: Would be great to get something going once a week, for at least a full module or even longer.

Text or Voice: Voice preferred, but i can make text work.
Voice software used: Discord, steam chat, google hangouts

Basically i am looking to find either a pathfinder 2nd edition game to join, or if there is interest, i would consider running a game where i GM. As i said above, i have FGU ultimate and have all the Pathfinder 2nd edition books that are currently out at the moment (both in print and in FGU). I am still pretty new to FG however, i have been learning as much as i can and feel that i can likely handle running a game with players who could be patient and grit they're teeth for the first bit. I am 37, so adult themes aren't a problem. I do have a RW friend who might be able to join, especially if i am going to host with my ultimate license as he's on disability and can't spend the cash right now on luxury such as FG.

I do have many of the star finder books as well, however i have next to no experience in the system, so someone would likely have to hand hold me a bit in the beginning if we were to play Starfinder.

Looking forward to seeing who out there i can meet and game with. :)

Thanks.

It looks like we'd have a compatible morning timing on alternating weeks. And a similar learning curve for FG.

yeah mornings would likely work for me, what time were you hoping for?

I'm open for play times 06:00 to 20:00 Fri, Sat, or Sun, central US. Possibly alternating Thursdays (this one, the next open would be Aug 13 and so on).

It wouldn't have to be morning, that was just the unexpected overlap.

ok, i could likely make times during that time frame work. I assume that you are wanting to be a player and not a GM? I'm ok being a GM, just want to clarify.

Player, yeah.

Some day down the road I'd try my hand behind the screen again, but not yet.

understandable. i've actually had someone PM me last night, said that they would be interested in playing as well. However they have better availability mid week, but it sounds like a Thursday play time, might be possible (after noon). Would that jive for you?

I'm available for Thursdays as well. I have experience in 5E and with FTG. If you are looking for another player I'm your guy. I'm a mature player and totally understanding of a new GM as I'm also looking to become one shortly myself so get the hesitation. Look forward to a Pathfinder adventure if that is on deck since I've never played that before. :)

I’d love to join if you’d have me. I’m actually currently running a game so I don’t think I’d be able to DM with how much work I’ve been needing to put into that game to keep it focused, but I’d really appreciate the chance to play if you’d have me.

Yeah, every other Thursday I should be able to. The next open one would be Aug 13th though.

made me smile to see the response that this thread got. Looking like Thursday's is going to be the best option for everyone so far. I am thinking that i would run a one off like Fall of Plaugestone to begin with. Once that's finished and the group seem to be jiving, i would move into some custom adventures that would likely be part of a wider campaign if everyone wanted to stay on board. Next question in my mind is, when would work for a session zero? I like having a session zero, for meeting and greeting, as well as character creation or tweeking (so the party dynamics can be taken into account). Also, if you all want, i am fine with creating characters for everyone if they want.

Looking forward to it.

I can make that work every week and possibly check with ether if the two friends I duo with if you'd like.

As for the rest of this any time works for me though I'd like to use discord to talk if we can. Also, are we using the APG as well? Or just the stuff that came out before? (Seeing as the book is 2 days old.)

I am fine using the APG, i have the modules for it in FGU. If the consensus is to not use it, i am fine with that as well.

A zero session to meet and build characters for a couple hours sounds good. I would be open for an evening after work later in the week (Wed / Thu after ~5:30pm CST), or any time next weekend would be open.

In the meantime, as we think of possible characters, are there any general parameters you'd like us to follow? It looks like Fall of Plaguestone is a 1st level start, so that keeps things simple. My top choices are usually the classic types, wizard, cleric, fighter, rogue -- so if anyone else has a favorite or gets an idea early, I can fill out the party.

Sounds like we'll have a swashbuckler and a cleric in the group as things sit currently. One thing to think of would be a bit of a back story for your character for why they would be on the caravan to Etran's Folly (The town in Fall of Plaugestone), i should mention that there are some backgrounds in the Adventure module that make that easier if you are so inclined.

I'm interested in playing some Pathfinder 2e if you guys aren't full or too big already; Thursday's all good for me as well.

A game zero sounds like a great idea, Pathfinder is something I don't have much experience with but from what I've seen I can manage the backstory for a character with out to much issue.

I would be interested as well in playing a Wednesday or Thursday night game of Pathfinder 2e

Not sure if your looking for players still now that it’s almost been a whole year since this post, but I’m new to fantasy grounds and ran a couple one shots and a small module on pathfinder 2E so I have a little experience and can play any types of roles your group needs. I have the core rule book and advanced players guide so I can play just about any class needed as well. It might take a minute or two to get used to FGU and how it runs but if your patient with getting started I’d be down for the long haul!

Sorry, i've filled all the player positions. I'll keep you in mind however if i end up starting a second game.

Is this game still looking for players? My friend and I would be interested in a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday morning game. She's living in India, so that's right around the evening for her. We would both be new to Pathfinder. Hope it works out for us, but understand if it's too late to join, or if the time and day don't work out, or whatever...

EDIT: I see now there was a 2nd page to this post that answers my questions. Nevermind then! Hope you guys have fun.
