NEW Stargate RPG (Using D&D 5e rules)

My initial reaction: Stargate YAY. D&D... BUUUUUH. So tired of everything being that boring sytem. But it's the elephant in the room I guess...

The way I see it is, you make up a game system no one will know how to play or you use a system that a lot of people already know. The real draw for it is the setting, not the rule system. Adding in a rule system no one would understand would only keep more people from trying.

Looking forward to seeing what they'll come up with.

The game is in open beta at https://stargatetherpg.com/?ct=1595819136. If you want to check it out it is currently in beta 6 with lots of development ongoing.
