Me again. I realize I'm pushing my luck with this many effects questions in such a short time.

Is there a way to apply an attack bonus to one specific weapon type?

For instance, +1 Attack bonus to just Ranged weapons. Specifically, from a magic item that grants a +1 competence bonus to ranged attacks.

Yes, with ATK: 1, ranged :)

Now I'm really going to push things. I would like to create an effect that gives allies a bonus to ATK and DMG against a specific target.

Hehe thanks :D

There are several ways to do that:

1. Use e.g. IFT: CUSTOM(test); ATK: 1; DMG: 1, give this the allies and apply the effect test to the target it should apply against :)
2. Use the effect-target :) When you look into the CT then you can see that each separate effect entry has its own target button (beware: that is a separate button than the existing target button for each combatant) :) This target works with all effects which have a (T) in their description on the wiki (the same holds roughly for the first method). So, create e.g. ATK: 1; DMG: 1, apply it and then drag&drop its target button on the target it should apply against. Or: Target the allies before you apply the effect from an actions tab, then press Shift and drag&drop the effect button from the actions tab onto the target it should apply against. Then all allies will get the effect but with effect-target the token you drag&dropped the button onto :) When everything worked correctly then you should see the effect only on the allies and there should be some information about which effect-target the effect has when you expand the effects' list :)
