Now i'm currently using 5E, and was wanting to be able to better utilise the languages players can understand / read.

So i was wondering if anyone knew of an extension that would allow text to be typed into the description box of a bool/scroll, and then set the language it is in. so that if any player who knows the language they are able to easily read it, but for those who do not know the language then it shows the fantasy script it represents.

i think this would be nice feature to be able to use similar to being able to type into the chat bar in various languages, to be able to flesh out the world with items written in fantasy script.

For instance, in 5E, see #7 under Abilities Tab on this page; https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGU/pages/884824/5E+Character+Sheet

I got the impression that the OP wanted the text to be translatable in a story entry or magic item rather than just output to chat.

yes i was looking to be able to have the text in a story/note/ magic item, instead of the chat

In the meantime, you can have two versions: one in the fantasy language, which you share with everyone; and one in English, which you drag onto the portrait of any players that speak the language.
