View Full Version : Adding LOS to a map causes large memory usage on the PC

I have been steadily adding walls to the maps in a purchased module, and I have noticed that the memory usage of my PC goes up dramatically. The longer the time I spend adding the walls, doors, and secret doors, the more likely I will max out memory in my PC (16GB total - 13GB to FGU alone). I find it best to work on the LOS for roughly an hour then shut down the FGU program. When I do shut down, it can take over 5 minutes for the program to close. I have tried closing just the map, but the memory usage may drop or it might not. I know you are still making modifications to the code for full release, but I wanted to bring the matter to your attention.

When I run the campaign, it doesn't have any issues with memory at all. I get a steady 2.5GB of use throughout a 3 to 3.5 hour session. Overall, my experience with FGU has been very positive, but I would like to edit maps for longer than a hour or so.
