Fantasy Grounds Updater wont open

Fantasy grounds opens fine, but the check for updates is red i click on it, fantasy grounds closes but the updater wont open, i've tried going into the file location and opening the updater that way as an administrator nothing.

I dont want to do a fresh install, because i am worried i might lose the campaign i've been working hard on adding new custom items and stuff to the module and i dont want to lose it all.

is there any way to fix this without deleting and reinstalling?

Sounds like it's being blocked by an antivirus or malware program.

A reinstall has no effect on your campaign data. The installation of the client is completely separate from your data folder. However if you have concerns back up the campaign folder before you re-install.

I agree with Nylanfs, however, the problem is likely to be anti virus or something on your router blocking the updater.
