PC to NPC sheet

I know that you have to basically do manually transfer of a NPC into a PC if you want to run it as a normal party member.

But is there any easy way to do the opposite, change a PC over into a NPC?

Not that I am aware of. I just manually create the NPC, doesn't take too long in most cases.
