[50F] (but also swade) - Attack with Spellcasting (or other traits)

So in 50 Fathoms a character just stumbled onto a nice magic wand.
As read it reads like it works similar to to the bolts pell in that it would use spellcasting as it's attack trait.

Is their a way for me to add it to that character's attack list?
I looked at adding an attack and it looks like the type dropdown in the attacks detail is forcing the die to roll and spellcasting is not an option.

Any thoughts?

A wand is not an "weapon attack" item at all. It is item that grants an extra Power. Which of course has the die to roll as spellcasting.
