Details of the scenario:
Individual colonists each have their own motivations for joining the colony, but certain incentives and potential rewards appeal to just about anyone. The colony of Talmandor's Bounty is first and foremost a financial venture. Each settler in the first few groups of colonists are entitled to a small share of the profits once a colony has been established and commerce starts to turn a profit. The desire to spread freedom and democracy across Golarion is also a part of the settlement's mandate.
The Colony of Talmandor's Bounty poses a rare challenge to characters. There is no societal infrastructure to support them in endeavours on the island beyond their fellow settlers. There are no taverns, inns, or merchants, nor anyone to buy their treasure and sell them equipment upgrades.
Basic tools like hammers, rope, and iron spikes, are available within reason. Though the supply of materials is not inexhaustible, if characters don't take advantage of their fellow settlers, these items are loaned out to them for the purpose of helping the entire colony. Specialised equipment like alchemical weapons, rarer adventuring equipment, and magic items are typically not available except where specifically described, although characters can certainly bring those items along with them as part of their starting equipment.
After six weeks the Peregrine will return to the colony. Captain Jacob Markosi will accept any treasures the characters wish to sell and will agree to purchase any equipment and magic items they want from Almas to be delivered on the next return trip. The crew are reliable and will be able to locate most items in Almas, as requested. This can even include new spells transcribed into spell books from city-based arcane casters.

Additional trading opportunities will open later in the campaign but be aware in advance that freely buying and selling equipment will not be logistically possible during much of this Adventure Path.
You can supply a list of equipment you might need or want as your character rises in level. Rusty will seed these items into the adventure as suits the story, replacing listed treasure if need be. Priority will be given to certain characters or classes that are more reliant on pieces of equipment than others.
Crafting is a part of this campaign and some of the NPC colonist will have specific crafting feast to support you but will require materials and consumables that you may have to supply.

Player buy in:
This campaign will only work if you build and play a character that you enjoy and that is willing to work with the other characters in the party. You will be able to make minor tweaks to your character until level two. You are expected have you character ready for each game session and you are expected to know how all your abilities work. However, we are flexible and very happy to work with beginner players who are still figuring it all out.

Currently party make up includes:
• Cleric,
• Sorcerer,
• Druid,
• Rogue,
Fighter/brawler
.

Please do not apply to join this group if you:
• Mostly enjoy sabotaging the characters of other players.
• Are a rules lawyer and get a kick out of debating game mechanics.
• Think Pathfinder games should run like a video game.
• Enjoy undermining the GM.
• Will probably only play for a few weeks or months. We really want a long-term commitment.
• Think the time slot does not suit you.
• Are not available most Fridays for the game time.
• Have already played or read the Ruins of Azlant Adventure Path or researched it on You Tube. The spoilers ruin the fun for everyone.

The GM (Rusty) attempts to keep rule debates to a minimum during game time but is very willing to have out of game discussions on rule interpretations.

Lethality:
There is always some risk of death, especially at low levels, but with the use of inspiration points, most deadly encounters can be resolved without loss of characters. We all would like to build a party of characters that reaches level 15 or higher.

Social:
We have fun, but we also like to keep the game flowing.

Character Backstories:
Go for it and the Rusty will do his best to use your backstory to link you to the campaign. Send through wish list of items and Rusty will consider placing them in the campaign.

About the Rusty:
I have played DnD since the mid-80s cutting my teeth on the Red Box basic BECMI set. Taking on the role of Dungeon Master allowed me to play more often as none of my other mates were willing to run games.

I have two campaigns currently running: one in fifth edition and one in Pathfinder (this one). My 5e campaign is in the Forgotten Realms setting and consists of a mixed group of characters ranging from 1st to 10th level. We are kind of blending Storm Kings Thunder, Tales from the Yawning Portal and a few other small campaigns. Spots may be available here if 5e is more your thing. We are currently rebuilding the party.

Previously I have run Kingmaker to 10th level, and Skull and Shackles to 10th level. I’ve been running two session a week for the past three years. I do not know all the mechanics and suffer from version confusion so I do depend on you to know your character and the mechanics that affect it. My job is to keep the game flowing and present the story line.

I am a professor at Fantasy Ground College and run classes in the GMT +8 evening time zone. This is a link to my You Tube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW07tr1H3-7FR3YXOibpuMw?view_as=subscriber
I really enjoy introducing people to Fantasy Grounds, so do not worry if you are new to the software, we will get you moving fast.

If interested:
Private message Rusty or respond to this thread.

Send Rusty your discord name. You will be invited to join in on an introductory session to meet and get to know the some of other players. We will do a run shot just to see if we all get along.
The introduction one shot will probably run on a Sunday or Monday not (flexible – whatever works for you) after you have:
• Set up discord
• Completed your basic character set up, and
• Download all the FG files from Rusty’s server.

If at that point, you like us, and everyone is happy we will ask you to make a commitment to the long-term campaign. We will not be offended if our group is not for you. It is important that you feel comfortable and happy with us and vice versa.

One opening available start level 4. Would suit someone who has only played AP1, but this is not a requirement. We will bring you up to speed.
