So WOTC released some text changes for Curse of Strahd and Tomb of Annihilation along with some new stat blocks. Does Fantasy Grounds have to wait until an errata document is uploaded, or until changes are discovered in physical printings or are they given the changes beforehand and given approval to implement them? I ask since Roll20 and D&DBeyond released those changes without an errata document coming out.

I am certainly not aware of any changes.

Here's the announcement: https://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/diversity-and-dnd

But I don't see that they have actually released the text of the changes themselves (only that they are going to release them). @Paperclipkiller, perhaps you can point Mr. Z to where the changes are actually detailed?

Roll20 and DndBeyond have been updated (apparently) but an actual separate release of the changes (as a pdf) hasn't been released yet.

I know it is very unlikely going to be helpful, but here's a 'preview' as to the supposed changes (at least to COS), Unfortunately, I don't have a roll20 or DNDbeyond account, so I can't check.

I know its not the official release, but I hope it helps!

Doodlimp linked what I was talking about.

I doubt the physical reprintings are out yet on shelves, which would mean D&D Beyond as well as Roll20 are getting module updated information from WOTC but Fantasy Grounds isn't? It would be weird to me they are giving changes to some digital storefronts and not others.

Thanks for letting us know. I was expecting an errata doc for this but we did not receive anything. I reached out to our main contact at WOTC.

We have it in hand now. They were still in the process of distributing it. There is an official doc with a list of all the changes.

Ahhhh ok. I figured there would have been an embargo or something of the sort for releasing those until they distributed the changes to everyone but I guess not. Looking forward to the changes! Thanks for the update ddavison :)

I would say ignore it, but I don't care anymore. WotC has lost me as a customer.

Are the changes mandatory ... I have the module I paid for, and want to choose the content I use ... if I do not want the Errata, can I keep my modules as is ?

make an edit to the module and it wont update - at least for that campaign - i think...

The edits (which are all very minor) are scattered throughout the module. You would need to edit the pages which were changed. Unfortunately you can't edit the reference pages.

But, basically no you can't go back if you have updated.

As mentioned in the other thread this was asked, make a copy of your PHB in the vault folder, and then every time you run an update copy it back to your vault folder after the update is done.

So errata is not in place yet? I have bought TOA yesterday to have old version backed up - I hope it is still the old one.

Is PHB going to be updated as well? :O I need to back it up as well...

The updates to CoS and ToA were released on Tuesday https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?59359-Release-Updates-for-June-23rd-2020

There are no changes to the PHB.
