When the player applies an effect to themselves, it appears in the combat tracker, and there is a countdown showing how much time is left on that effect if it has a duration. In other rule sets, specifically 5E, this works very much the same. However, in the 5E rule set, the player can remove any effect that they themselves have applied to themselves or others. In SWADE, only the GM seems to be able to remove or modify these effects, even if a player applies it and is in control of it. Is this by design? Is there any reason we can't have players able to remove those items that they themselves create and save some headaches for the GM?
