FGC vs FGU extensions

Will most of the extensions work for either platform? or are there only specific ones made for each? anyway to tell which, most don't say.

Simpler extensions tend to carry over, more complex ones don't. Really you just have to go on a case by case basis. For ones that are still maintained usually the creator will have that listed in the description, or will say that they aren't going to try and keep up with unity until its further along.
