I want my players to have the effect that their weapon attacks are magical without actually having a magical weapon. Like a normal longsword that can do damage to creatures that have resistances to non-magical weapons.

Welcome to FG, UNdead12.

You'll need to tell us what ruleset you are talking about since each ruleset probably handles magic items differently. It would also be better if you posted your question in the forum for the ruleset you are using rather than in a general channel since you are likely to get a more knowledgable answer.

Saw your other thread of the same in the 5E section.

If what you are asking about is that you want something like a longsword that basically is just magical so it can do things like affect creatures immune to normal weapons.

If you open the weapon there is a properties section in it and you can add magic there:
36586

And on the Action tab for the weapon open the damage section and add ,magic (where this was originally just type piercing:
36587

that will make this normal morningstar into a magic weapon but not add any + to hit or damage.
