Hey guys so this one stumps me ....

I am running two dnd games using fantasy grounds classic ultimate... Everyone has been able to get into the game out of 10 people but the last guy can not... mind you these are two different games one has 6 players the other has 5 ... I just don't understand what we can do to fix this, we have both spent hours on the forums looking and trying and checking everything ... So this morning we tried having him connect with a buddy who has fantasy grounds classic and he can connect to that game .... So how do we fix this? I have never seen something were 90% can get in an one can not .... We are both using updated fantasy grounds 3.3.10 version

Thanks for your time.

Have the player do a tracert to your IP address and post the results.

Thats your Private IP - you need your Public IP.

Looks like they should first check the Comcast, Cox, Shaw and Xfinity Users thread. They have probably blocked the FG servers.

So I dont have Comcast, he does though and he can access my buddies FGC who has wave... he has tried to follow that post and no success. I have At&t if that matters.

Try the tracert to your public ip - as in he needs to. We need to see if it is getting lost en-route to yuo.

The easiest way may be you and he to set up Hamachi for him to connect via.

I had a game today and LAN didn't work altogether on latest update. Tried cloud and 1 person can't connect the other 4 did. After the game I tinkered and tested to get the LAN to work, I changed the port from 1802 to 1803 and 1804 both 1803 and 1804 worked for LAN connection but 1802 still didn't work.

I hope this helps you.

Check your port forwarding rules and your security software. Something is either misdirecting 1802 to a different IP (i.e. an old port forwarding rule) or has set up a security block on port 1802.

I didn't change any security settings and port forwarding to 1802 has been the same before the update. After the update, Lan stopped functioning for all players connecting to me. External IP has not changed.

Tested a change in port to 1803 and 1804, added port forwarding for those ports to the same laptop. Those worked fine for the 2 campaigns I have running.

FGU does not set up anything specific for port 1802; that's just the default port. Any port specified for the LAN server type should work the same.
