Is the record link the dice shaped icon with i on it in the top left of a window?

The record link is the button you click on to open a window with more details about the record. It can be a different graphic depending on the theme you're using.

Once you've opened a window using the link from a list (or embedded in a formatted text section) then the link to that specific record is usually in the top left. Again, the graphic can be different based off the theme, but it should be the same as the graphic in a list/embedded in text.
