When I open the NPC menu, it will appear blank, and I get this error message:

My NPCs menu will look like this:

35801

If I click on a subcatagory it will load everything in, BUT I cannot copy or edit statblocks. If I restart FGU, then I can see the statblocks I coppied, but it's a 50-50 shot if I can edit one or not. What do I do? How do I fix this? I need to be running a game in 2 hours.

I assume this is Pathfinder?

Yes, this is pathfinder with most if not all of the official PF rulebook modules. I also have the 2020 version of the custom content generator thing installed. You know, the tables that generate NPCs and cities.

I don't know Pathfinder but I can't reproduce the error. I suspect that from the error message you are getting that it is the extension that is causing the issue. Try in a new campaign without any extensions.

I've already done that and I had the same error. Which is why I posted here in the firstplace. It may be my system in particular? Here's my specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7 3770k
RAM: 24 gigs of DDR3 @ 1600 mhz
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-VLX
GPU: GTX 980Ti
Storage: 1 Samsung 970 Evo, 2 Baracudda 2 TB HDDs (FGU lives on one of these)
OS: Windows 10, latest build.

Side note, I have not tried reinstalling. I'm scared to do that. I don't want to loose an in progress game.

That error log shows that there are some extensions loaded. Can you post the error log from the new campaign you created (without any extensions, themes or decals) please?

Also, could you try with just one PF module loaded - maybe the official "Pathfinder Bestiary" (if you have that). And see if you can open the NPC window and see the creatures OK.

It looks like you probably have a module loaded that has some NPCs with an incorrect data type for the CR field - it should be "number" (it is in the official Paizo Bestiary), but it sounds like at least one creature (it only takes one) has the CR field data type as "string".

I looked into that and removing a few entries from the module fixed it. I guess even just having that module in the folder at all was causing a problem somehow? Either way it's working fine now.

I take it the problem NPCs were the ones created with this?

Yes they were. The "Universal" version is clearly not universal.

Well the first paragraph of that thread includes "If your formatting is screwy, I apologize, but this was built in 5e with no UI mods active. The functionality for other rulesets is "as-is", but I hope it works for everyone!"

And if anything wasn’t going to work it would be NPCs as they’re pretty system specific.
