I've played Dungeons and Dragons for years and now that I can't visit my local shop anymore, I bought Fantasy Grounds to help supplement my thirst for adventures. I've never used the program before but I'm eager to learn. I was curious if anyone had any tips or suggestions for starting out, how to find a kind group that'll be forgiving me getting used to this, and suggestions on which books I should get again. I have all of them currently on paper back, but I understand you have to get a digital license for Fantasy Grounds to use the rules here. I hope to find a group that'll also allow me to play warforge if possible.

Welcome Roland!

Lots of advice possible. Have you checked out any of the YouTube Videos or the User Manual or FantasyGroundsCollege.net?

Are you looking to be a player or a GM? If GM, here is just one useful resource for you to think about; https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/entry.php?241-How-to-Build-a-Successful-Long-term-Gaming-Group

I figured I'd start off as a player. I'm going through getting some books now, basics for now. I'll read through those too, thanks!

I would also recommend Fantasy Grounds College (https://fantasygroundscollege.net) as an excellent place to start.

Fantasy Grounds College is the best way to get started....free classes and very informative and helpful with live streaming.

Good Gaming!
