I wonder why the modifiers icon is placed center under the likewise center text in the short-cut bar? This makes reading the difference between LCover, Cover and GCover really difficult.

So maybe placing the icon left aligned and the text either center or even right?

Currently, this is built into the core of the FG client system; so this would require client updates in both FGC and FGU to modify. It's definitely something I've thought of before; but has been lower on the priority list.

For modifier buttons in PFRPG2 I'm thinking maybe something like this:

Also, once the shortcut is in the hotkey bar you can right-click and edit the text.

Yes, editing will help, thanks for the hint. I will have to teach that to my players. It's another hurdle for players who already have to learn many UI controls, so I have to watch out not to tell them too many things at a time.

Do you have any feedback on the possible change I showed in my post?

I was playing a game (as player) and handling the map/movement via my FG + video stream (as player). So I was a bit preoccupied when I wrote the last reply. ;)
The proposed changes look exactly like what is needed for better readability, so thumbs up! A text based [+/-] may use more space than necessary for something that includes no info other than "this is an effect", so maybe a left aligned icon serves the same goal using less space.
