I am going to apologize if there is a more current answer and I am just not finding it. Or if this is in the wrong section for posting this question.

Is there a current way (found some archived discussions) to set up Ancestral Guardians effect of granting disadvantage to all attacks to other targets and the resistance to that damage to other targets? Maybe something like an IF statement. Just trying to find an easy way have this tracked.

It can be done. You will need 4 effects something similar to my graphic.

The Barbarian will then need to place the Guarded effect and the IFT: CUSTOM(Spirited) etc on all of their allies. Then apply the other two effects to the target of his Spirit Guardian.

You could reduce it to 2 Effects.
"Spirited" is applied to the target of the Barbarian's attack.
"IFT: CUSTOM(Spirited); RESIST: all; GRANTDISATK" is applied to all other tokens aside from the Barbarian's, as the ability doesn't differentiate between friend and foe.

I only did some simple tests with it but seemed to work fine.

The above method works great, but unfortunately it gives resistance to all sources of damage, not just attacks. The feature is only supposed to grant resistance to damage from attacks. Anyone know how to do that? I tried this but It didn't work:
IFT: CUSTOM(Ancestrally Hindered); RESIST: all, melee, ranged; GRANTDISATK
Adding the ,melee, ranged part is how you can get Hex to only apply to damage from attacks. But I guess it doesn't work for resistance.

RESIST needs to be followed by a list of damage types which are resisted. On it’s own it will resist all damage. So to resist attacks use RESIST: bludgeoning, piercing, slashing.
