I would think with Hunter's Mark you could target someone and do damage. This doesn't appear to do anything. I'm brand new sorry, did this character sheet get imported wrong?

Have a look at this page: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/5E_Effects
Search for Hunter

Hunter's Mark uses a targetted effect so you have two methods of using it. The first is as your image but when you apply the effect it needs to be applied to the target by SHIFT clicking the effect with the target selected. The second method is to prepare two effects one that is simple 'Hunter's Mark;(C)' and that is applied to the target and the second IFT:CUSTOM(Hunter's Mark}; DMG: 1d6 is applied to the caster. See videos five and six in this series for more details https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?41478-Effects-Videos-for-5E

Note that you must remove the apostrophe for it to work!
If you have two or more players using it, to label them differently so if they do not benefit from the others mark :)
EG
1st Ranger Val - 'ValHunters Mark;(C)' paired with 'Hunter's Mark; IFT:CUSTOM(ValHunters Mark); DMG: 1d6; (C)'
The other ranger would have 'MHunters Mark;(C)' paired with 'Hunter's Mark; IFT:CUSTOM(MHunters Mark); DMG: 1d6; (C)'

The idea is the mark applied to the target is 'unique', paired with the mark applied to the relevant casting ranger (themselves)

I don't see the need to remove apostrophes. As long as the effect applied to the target is exactly the same as that tested for in CUSTOM then the effect will work.

FWIW, if you go with the IFT-based persistent option rather than enabling it per individual attack, but you also use a mix of weapon and spell attacks for whatever reason, you should probably tweak it so it's "DMG: 1d6, melee, ranged" rather than "DMG: 1d6" in order to limit it to weapon attacks.

I don't see the need to remove apostrophes.

When I was testing with mine it was not working until I removed the apostrophes - that was about 2 months ago, and as soon as I removed them the effect worked. I just tested it now and it is working with the apostrophes, so whatever was bugging it back then has been fixed (I am running a LOT of extensions :) ). I picked up on that as the 5e page had no apostrophe (https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/996642031/5E+Effects+for+Advanced+Automation)

Nyarly, would it work with weapon, rather than specify? Otherwise may have to add thrown :)

Interesting, I tried it with melee, ranged but it also applied to spell dmg. Changed it to weapon and it worked correctly ( I was using throwing axe). Note that the chat window seems to drop the comma, it is (and was) there for both after the 1d6...
