Just curious, are these things that need to be created by Paizo or Fantasy Grounds / Smiteworks or a combination if both? Could I help the community by taking say a society adventure and putting in together so it works in FG? Or are there people who already do that and I wound be messing up their job? I’d like to help if I can, but want to do it the “right way”.

We have approved content developers that take existing content from vendors (Paizo in this case) and convert that content into Fantasy Grounds compatible content.

I would LOVE to see this... I imagine that it would get a bit tricky to specify the type of attack/ damage for each one like the cards do, though, since the FG functionality only seems to be able to reference a single table for a Critical Hit or a Fumble. Of course, a module that would simply display the graphic for a randomly rolled card associated with any Crit or Fumble rolled would certainly be something I would pay money for.

Ah you're correct, although I seem to remember that differently from previous sales. Anyway, I always get a discount listed, because I own the PDFs at Paizo, but this doesn't add up. The sale discount should be $8.00, and the price of the PDF is $9.99, so in total there should be a discount of $17.99 from the list price, however my cart shows me $15.00 discount.

i checked with a module where I do not own a PDF; and you're right, the sale discount is listed as discount, and then I checked with a Starfinder book that is not on sale, and the cart listed a discount of $9.99 because I own the PDF.

So, something does not seem to add up correctly, I think.

Any idea of the actual functionality of these decks in FG? The store description isn't very specific. I'm not sure of the exact functionality of the decks.

If you have the PDF in your Paizo Account, make sure you sync your purchases (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/syncPaizoAccount.xcp) as you will get the cost of the PDF discounted from the FG product.

The functionality you get is an automatic roll on the table on a critical hit or fumble and shows you the result. You can still look it up on the digital version of the decks (PDF) and generate a number between 1 and 53 to choose the card. Its just some nice automation.

So by "shows you the result" do you mean that the image of the card that your roll resulted in pops up or just that it describes the result in the chat? Because having the card image pop up on a crit hit or fumble WOULD be pretty cool.

Update on Critical Hit and Fumble from last nights session:
OK loaded both modules and in Settings set it to Crit / Fumble
During play we got some of both. It automatically added the effects to the chat windows. Also a Link button showed and the players and DM can click it and the card showed up. Worked pretty well.

No coding for the effects but I applied as the DM the effect that came up if I needed to apply anything. I can see how it would be hard to pre code since some are really odd as those who have used it know.

My players were very happy with it since it added that extra layer of drama to Crits and Fumbles.

The players probably need to Load the Deck Modules as well to see them from Data/Library. That's my guess anyway.

If you want the players to see the text you have to have "show GM rolls" turned in the options.
Or you can just click on the link and share it.
Or you can drop the link from chat onto the players portrait to share it with just them.

Two different conversion authors are working on them, so it just depends on who finishes first. Each one will have their own challenges to implement into the ruleset once the reference manual is converted to FG.

I just accidently discovered that Alien Archive 3 is NOT read protected content, like the other books. If you go into a category, like NPC's and click on EDIT, trashcan icons appear next to all of the Alien Archive 3 content.

Ooops! I don't think this is as intended. It appears to be only the GM version.

Also, if you could rename the GM version to just "Alien Archive 3" to keep consistent with the other SF content.

This is in prep for Deck of Many Worlds.
Hope to put out the Location extension this week, wrapping this up getting close.

@Samarex, thanks so much for developing DoMW! It's an awesome addition to a GM's arsenal and will be used to create many unique worlds, and all at the push of a button. That's the easy part, writing the prose to go with it is still hard :) While I liked the cards, integrating this with FG and not having the cards slide all over is really kewl.

While Fly Free or Die AP 5 is now available, it seems that once again the discount for owning the PDF at Paizo isn't registering correctly. When I put it in my cart, there's only a discount of $3.45 when it should be $15.99.

Hi Zaister,
I believe the cart doesn't reflect the discount immediately, so if you move one step further in the process it should be displayed (before you actually commit to the purchase). Also, make sure you re-register you Paizo purchases. I notice this has to be done from time to time, especially when you've made new Paizo PDF purchases directly from the Paizo site.

It has been noticed that Starfinder RPG - Starfinder Adventure Path #34: We're No Heroes (Fly Free or Die 1 of 6) does not have the BD514 starship built in the module. Understandably there is no starship combat in the adventure, but should the conversion not have all the material made available in a playable format (ie. the ship in the PC Ships?)

I encounter a little issue with starship combat concerning NPC ship, initiative and attack rolls.

If i remember correctly, there use to be a toggle box in the crew the section to check if you want to apply crew bonus to starship actions (gunnery, piloting etc.)
It's seems that this toggle box is now missing. I either have to manually add the modifier to attack/initiative or to double click the skill on the crew section (but with this method a gunnery check does not compare to target AC for exemple).

Have i been missing something ?

I see that the first module of "Legendary planets" was converted to Starfinder, with the 2nd part "In development". That appears to be almost two years ago unfortunately. Has this project been abandoned?

I am curious about a couple entries on this, specifically the "Drift Crashers" adventure path. The second of the three modules in the first trilogy is up in the FG store and appears normally, but the first and third do not. The links in the OP lead to a Fantasy Grounds store page for them but where the Buy button would be it simple says "Available Apr 18 2022". It's clearly quite a bit later than that; is this a storefront bug or have those FG conversions been delayed?

E: I see now that I have been kicked to the final page of this thread they they are currently under review as of a few days ago. Don't mind me!
