Activateing Action doesnt expend a use

5e with most books / modules loaded

Have set up several actions along with x uses per / rest / day etc Some are individual ie Medical Kit with 10 Uses (once) Some are grouped Combat Superiority Dice 4 options (Group wide 4 uses / rest)

When I activate an effect (by dragging the effect icon onto tsrget in Combat Tracker) it doesnt use up one of the uses (doesnt check the box) When I manually check the use box it echoes the effect name to the chat but doesnt activate the effect.

Is this normal or have I missed something ?

Welcome to the forums.

As an ability/spell can have many different "buttons" attached to them that could be used as part of the process to use the ability/spell, or the action might be applied multiple times to different targets, then the use check is left manual as FG won’t know how many times to check off use based off actions applied through FG.

So, yes, this is normal behavior.
