It could be useful to write error messages in the chat when a player has problems logging in. Here are some examples.
<Player> logged in.
<Player> logged out.
<Player> logged in, but is using an old client, please update the client.
<Player> tried to log in, but lost connection while downloading files.
<Player> tried to log in, but mistyped the password.
<Player> lost connection 5 minutes ago and is getting kicked.
<Player> is already logged in, but tries to log in again. The player probably lost connection. Type "/kick <Player>" to make room.
<Player> tried to log in, but the GM is not using the "ultimate version". Therefore only one player can he hosted at a time.
<Player> logged in.
<Player> logged out.
