Hello, i was looking to start using some Animated maps for the players to make it a little more immersive but im not quite sure im seeing a way to accomplish that. Is there any current workaround or normal way to get Mp4 formats to work on FGC or FGU?

Nope, videos and animated GIFs can’t be used within FG.

Within FGU you have the animated effects layer though.
