I say my expectations are mild.
I was hoping to get a little advice on potential game breaking strategies players might use, and items to avoid giving them at the buy session.
Any info would be welcome and appreciated.
MOD: moved to 5E forum for better visibility.

Some (not all) players have really good memories, others read the module before/during the game sessions------even easier now with social distancing. If you have this problem with players; the easiest thing to do is use random encounters in place of static encounters, or just change the static encounters into something completely different. If you houserule/homebrew the dungeon, players will quickly stop being ready.
Try to keep buying to level appropriateness.
Levels 1-4 no enchantment.
Levels 5-8 +1 enchantment.
Levels 9-12 +2 enchantment.
Levels 13-20 +3 enchantment.
This keeps players from buying their way through the dungeon, and makes rewards that much better.
Don't forget how expensive this stuff is either, I'm typically around level 5 before I can even buy a set of standard Full-Plate for my Paladin.

That is what I'm afraid of. I will be quick and precise with my GM hammer if i see this becoming a session trend.
Thank you for the info.
