players cannot see target or action in combat tracker

I am testing out my campaign and I cannot get the players to show offense and targets in the player's combat tracker. What am I missing? Thanks

Provided the player and NPC tokens are on the CT you can CTRL click on an enemy token on the CT. If they are also on a map you can CTRL_Click on the token on the map.

I used the token that was created for the PC and the mob and it did not show on the map. I also had it set where the players could not see the mob. After the first round I probably should have set that to visible. I am going to try and join a campaign and see what the options are set to to see if that makes a difference.
