I'm in the process of setting up a Savage Rifts game on FG, and one of the universal spell modifiers is Heavy Weapon (+2 PP) which also can be applied to most Techno-Wizard items. Is there any way to apply this effect without having to manually create a Heavy Weapon version of the Spell / Item? I could create the 20 spells separately just for the HW version, but it's very time consuming and I'm hoping there's another option?

You are replying to a 6 year old thread.

Have you got the Savage Rifts content on Fantasy Grounds? Link in my signature.

To make a weapon apply Mega Damage, add HW after the Damage dice or add HW or Heavy Weapon in the Notes section, although if you have any of the Rifts content, you will see this already.

Thanks for trying to help. To clarify:

I understand the rules for heavy weapons.
I want to apply an effect to a PC or ally in the Combat Tracker that makes their attacks "heavy."
Ideally, I want my player to do this like they can with similar buffs.

For example, Smite includes an effect that the player can drag to a target. I would like something similar for Smite's Power Modifier of "Greater Smite." In the attached screenshot, the little purple "dizzy guy" icons allow for drop-and-drag to apply effects.

Our workaround is creating a version of a weapon with the heavy property, and then the caster tells the recipient to use that until Smite expires. A temporary effect would be cleaner (e.g., built-in duration tracking).

Do you have the Rifts Mega Powers module? https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/product.php?id=PEGFGSW114953

That has all the Powers updated for Rifts.

For example Greater Smite which would apply the effect [Damage +4 HW] to a character on the CT for 5 rounds.

and if a player forgets to apply effect. Damage that rolled can still be switched to Heavy Weapon using menu on the CT.
