Fantasy grounds classic demo won't download for macbook

Hey guys!

Hope everyone is faring well in all of this craziness. I need some help! I'm trying to download the classic demo version for my macbook and two things keep coming up. The first thing that keeps coming up is "Fantasy grounds" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. and the other thing is ERROR! cannot write to info.plist. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks so much guys!!!

What version of Mac OS are you running? FG Classic only runs Mac OS prior to Catalina (only works on v10.14 or older).

I'm running catalina os x El capitan. 10.11.6

Just to make sure, if you downloaded from Steam, can you instead download from the link on our web site?
I also am asking if anybody else on the team has any ideas.

I downloaded it direct from the website. Should i try downloading it from steam?

If you downloaded this from here:
https://www.fantasygrounds.com/home/FGMacInstallation.php

You need to CTRL+Click it to open it after you download it. Once it opens, drag the icon for FG to the applications folder as shown in the picture. If you already have something in your Applications folder named Fantasy Grounds.app, please remove that first.
