So I was looking at situations where you might have a monster or NPC who is a shape changer, or can change their appearance by illusion. It sure would be nice if there was a way to make it so you could have several tokens loaded up and just swap to them with a click, so you could keep the characters in the dark about what is going on. If they see you messing with tokens, moving one in, moving out another, etc they know something is up. Like for instance you could have a doppleganger with all the party members tokens loaded so it could take the shape of them with a click and assume a party members ID.

Monsters that can change form could have different tokens for the different forms. Like a cloud of gas, or a swarm of bats for a vampire.

Likewise a spell caster could have some loaded up for different forms they assume.

Add to the wishlist :)

In the meantime, you can just drag a new token onto the entry int he CT and the token on the map will update. Or drop the new token on the character sheet, or on the NPC encounter. Depending upon where you and what/when you need things changed.

Late to the thread, but this would be good for when you KO an NPC or monster and want to leave a body on the map for looting or aesthetics.

There are several "Death Indicator" extensions that may suite your desires for this. Check the appropriate stickies for the rulesets you use to find them.
