Roleplay & Combat mix: 50-50. I love roleplay and combat equally.

Character starting level & equipment: Level 2 (Standard array PLUS roll 1d6 and distribute to any of your stats)
Character restrictions: You can use any published WOTC material except Unearthed Arcana (unofficial), Eberron (different setting) and Wildemount (different setting).

The talk of the streets and taverns has all been about the so-called death curse: a wasting disease afflicting everyone who's ever been raised from the dead. Victims grow thinner and weaker each day, slowly but steadily sliding toward the death they once denied.
When they finally succumb, they can't be raised-and neither can anyone else, regardless of whether they've ever received that miracle in the past. Temples and scholars of divine magic are at a loss to explain a curse that has affected the entire region, and possibly the entire world.
The cause is a necromantic artifact called the Soulmonger, which is located somewhere in Chult, a mysterious peninsula far to the south, ringed with mountains and choked with rain forests.

Hey there!
I'd like to invite you to game with me into the Jungles of Chult to find the source of the Death Curse (and hopefully stop it). This will be my first game as a DM here in Fantasy Grounds but I've DMed many a pen-and-paper games. Been playing since the early 90's (D&D Basic Set, AD&D, 3.0, 3.5, 4th and now 5e). I've added a lot of extra quests and goodies into this game so it wouldn't just be a run-of-the-mill ToA game (i.e. Dungeon Magazine content). I unfortunately can't get my port forwarding to work so players would have to install Hamachi (unless somebody can help me fix my port forwarding).
