Beginner question: How do I place a pointer on top of a token?

Could anyone tell me how I center eg a cone pointer on a (n)pc token without moving the token?
If I use the left+right click it just selects the token

Hi Quantum welcome to FG.

Draw your cone or whatever in an empty space then left click and hold over one of the points on it and drag it to the correct place.
