Character assignment

So I imported a bunch of characters from DnD beyond for my group. They have connected and pulled up their character sheet on there first connection attempts all went great. I had one of my players wanting to connect for a second time and when he logged in he did not see his character. Where would it be?

Did he use the same nickname when connecting? When character is claimed from the pool it is per user and the nickname is case sensitive.

as the dm, just go to that character in the list and "clear owner". then the player can see it again.

Valyar's advice will help prevent it from happening again in the future.
