View Full Version : SWADE Skill Specializations?

I'd read some time back that they were possible with the FG-SWD ruleset and that you just right-clicked the skill and there was a specialization option on the pop-up menu. I don't have anything like that with the SWADE rules set though - just a "create item" option, which brings up a form for creating another skill.

Am I missing something, or are specializations a feature missing from the FG-SWADE 5.1?

I believe Skill Specialization was removed from SWADE.

Try running the Deluxe rule set.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I don't own the Deluxe ruleset and don't have plans to acquire it. My homebrewed setting, while having started as a SWD setting, has been adapted to SWADE and that's what my players have been playing around the tabletop for the past year. I realize that it wouldn't be possible to have specialized skills affect dice rolls, but it'd be nice if the specializations could at least be visible for a listed skill.

In SWADE ruleset, turn skill specialisation on in the options. Then open a character and right click on the text of a skill (not the dice) and it gives an option to add a skill specialisation on the radial menu.

Oh man, don't know how I missed that...but I did. :o
