We have 4 players in the Montreal area. We were having a hard time finding a DM for our group, and that was BEFORE the covid-19... Some have never played online but would like to give it a shot. Among the 4 players, we have over a century of experience playing D&D.

With the isolation directive being given everywhere, playing online seems like a great solution, and a good activity.

Let me know if you would be willing to host a game, we are looking at 5th edition D&D.

Just gonna copy and paste what I wrote to another new member. Don't worry, most people seem to make vague first posts looking for groups and do not realize that there is a template that will help them find a group faster/easier.

A word of advice: Be more specific with what you are looking for. You should try following the advice for formatting a looking for group post in the lfg forum template thread (linked below). You will have much better luck finding a game if you indicate what system(s) you are interested in (e.g., d&d 5e, Pathfinder 2e, Savage Worlds, etc.) and when you are available to play (if you are completely free then say so, but probably list a few options as preference). In general, if you follow the LFG posting template you will give other players and potential DMs a lot more information that will help them figure out if they have similar interests or if you may fit with their group. All that said, you will find that there are many more players looking to join a game than there are DMs and typically DMs will post their own looking for player (LFP) threads. It may take a while to get into a game but you shouldn't rely an a DM coming across your LFG post. Posting an LFG is good, but you should also be frequenting the forum and replying to LFP posts that meet your criteria for games.

Additionally, you may want to look at Fantasy Ground College (I have never interacted with them personally, but they are well regarded for introducing new folks to Fantasy Grounds and/or popular game systems.
