Player unable to see map and character shows as question mark

So finally able to get others into a game, however, the map is blank and their character shows up as a question mark. Screenshot attached.....advice??

We are going to need to know more before we can help. But first make sure everyone disconnects, runs an Update and clears their player cache before rejoining.
