Hello all,
I was working on a WWII character sheet a while ago but ended up stopping as I didn't want to get too involved in building something for FG when FG 2.0 was a little ways off.

After seeing the work on FG 2.0 I started t re-work my idea....

So I thought i might post a pic or two to get some feed back.

This is the mini-PC sheet, this sheet should be the one the PC's use the most and has the essentical character "total stats" on it. My aim is that a player would have this sheet open most of the time along with any special "weapon stat sheets" he or she has setup. If the player needs to add or update and detailed info, they can do that in each of the detailed sections that can be accessed off the mini-pc sheet.

This is the Vital Stats page where a player cna fill out all of the core stats that population almost everything else. Once again players should only need to have this sheet up when checking on something, updateing details, or leveling up.

Nice looking sheets.
Should Character notes be bigger or have it's own tab, I have no idea having not played this game.
You might try (unless it's a huge PITA) making the backgrounds darker since you have white type and white boxes, they might pop a bit more.

That "character notes" area was actualy just 'leftover space' when I had put it all togeather. So I thought a little 'notes' box on the page would be handy.

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I will take a few notes on this for my next version of my mods. :)

After all... Imitation IS the most sincere form of flattery.

Uh, where are the sheets you had before (the ones from your website)? They were way better! I liked the idea of having a helmet for a button, etc.

I still have all the files for that one, I could use it. But I was never quite happy with how it turned out. And I think some of the text ended up being hard to read in spots.

I plan to use the same equipment icons in the weapons section where you can configure a "popup" window to hold your combat stats for a given type of weapon. EG: one window for your pistol, another windom with all your rifle stats, etc.

That way when in a combat situation you only need to have open the stat window for the weapon you are using and the mini-PC character sheet.

Here is the Combat Stats page:

If you click on the dice in the Hit Points diplay you get this little popup:

Given the style of the rest of the sheet, line art sketches of the weapons on a uncluttered background would look really good.

Tailz, do you think you'd be running any game using this sheet at iCon? :) I know you're in Australia, but if you run anything at evening, I can play it at morning my time. :P

Not wanting to be negative, but these sheets are a little hard on my eyes. I think it has to do with the starkness of the white against the background. Does anyone else have a hard time looking at these for a long time?

How do you mean it hurts your eyes?

I did the text on the page this way thinking that it would be easyer to read as compaired to how I did it in the first character sheet.

iCon whats that?

At this point in time these sheets are just a bunch of graphics and good intentions. I teamed up with a good fellow (he did the code, I did the pretty pictures) a little while ago to work on the first version of the character sheet for FG, but we droped the project as we didn't want to spend a lot of time working on the character sheet only to have to redo the code all again when FG 2.0 comes out... so since there we been waiting for FG 2.0.... hopefuly it will come out soonish... if not, we don't mind waiting for a good product.

Yeah, the contrast is a bit harsh, emphasized by the shadowing. Fading both the white and the background to a more muted yellow-tan faded-paper color might help.

Unacceptable. Smiteworks, you must make a prominent announcement. A little something to help spread the word. :) (Yes, Terro the Goblin King, that means you!) :)

In the meantime, you can start here (https://iconvention.org/).

Later.

I tried changeing the white color of the text to be a little like the paper, but it faded too much into the paper. So I tried toneing down the shadows a bit.
Which looks best, left or right?

But anyway... here is the Melee weapons stat page:
https://www.wyldfurr.com/fg_mod/weapons-melee.png
The idea is that each weapons stat page should have an icon so that the player can shrink the page down to just the icon on the desk top when its not needed to be displayed. Then double click the icon when its needed...

Nothing to do with the Charactersheet really but... Migt still be useful :

https://www.axishistory.com/

After all... the Motto of the players should be "Know thy Enemy" ... the Motto of the GM should be to know them even more. ;)

These are pages I have found to be VERY useful for a WW2 campaign, even if mine bombed due to inter-group politics. (Nobody could agree on a weaponbranch to join or a side to fight for. )

The failure is now remedied, if not by Goblin-King :bandit: , like this (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5480).

Either the right one or Herucas' or a blend of both. I still think painted, drawn, or line art, or black-and-white rather than color photo would look best for the weapon images.
